BT Furnishing UK Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all purchases of furniture and custom-made products from BT Furnishing UK (“we”, “us”, “our”). By placing an order with us, you agree to these terms.

1. Orders

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. For custom-made furniture, the customer is responsible for checking and confirming all details provided before production begins, including:

• Product type and design
• Dimensions and configuration
• Fabric, colour and finish
• Number of seats
• Any additional custom requirements

Once a custom order has entered production, changes or cancellations may not be possible.

2. Custom-Made Furniture

Many of our sofas and furniture items are made to order according to the customer’s requirements.

Because custom-made products are produced specifically for you, they may not be eligible for cancellation or return simply because you have changed your mind once production has started.

Minor variations in colour, texture, stitching, grain, or finish may occur due to the nature of handmade furniture and different materials. These variations are not necessarily considered defects.

3. Measurements

Customers are responsible for providing or confirming accurate measurements where furniture is being made to specific dimensions.

Before placing an order, please ensure that the furniture will fit through all relevant:

• Doors
• Hallways
• Staircases
• Lifts
• Access points

BT Furnishing UK cannot accept responsibility where furniture cannot be delivered or installed because adequate access has not been provided.

4. Prices and Payment

Prices will be confirmed at the time of ordering.

A deposit or full payment may be required before production begins, depending on the order.

For custom-made furniture, production will normally begin once the required payment has been received.

Any additional work, alterations, upgrades, delivery requirements, or changes requested after the original order may incur additional charges.

5. Delivery

Delivery dates provided are estimates unless specifically confirmed otherwise.

Delivery times may be affected by manufacturing schedules, material availability, transport issues, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Customers must ensure that someone is available to receive the order at the agreed delivery time.

Additional delivery charges may apply if:

• Delivery has to be rearranged because nobody is available.
• Access is restricted or unsuitable.
• Special lifting or access equipment is required.
• The delivery address or requirements have changed after ordering.

6. Inspection on Delivery

Customers should inspect their furniture as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

If there is visible damage, an incorrect item, or another obvious issue, please contact us promptly and provide photographs where requested.

This does not affect any statutory rights you may have under UK consumer law.

7. Returns and Cancellations

Cancellation and return rights may differ depending on whether the product is standard stock or custom-made.

For standard products, consumers may have cancellation rights under applicable UK consumer legislation.

Custom-made or personalised furniture may be exempt from certain change-of-mind cancellation rights where it has been made to the customer’s specifications.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions removes or limits any rights that cannot legally be excluded under UK law.

8. Faults and Warranty

We aim to supply furniture that is of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described.

If you believe your furniture has a manufacturing fault or other defect, please contact us with details and photographs where appropriate.

Depending on the circumstances, we may offer repair, replacement, or another appropriate remedy in accordance with your statutory rights.

Damage caused by misuse, accidents, improper cleaning, excessive wear, unauthorised alterations, or failure to follow care instructions may not be covered.

9. Furniture Care

Customers should follow the care and cleaning instructions supplied with their furniture.

Different fabrics, leathers, wood finishes, and other materials require different cleaning methods. Using unsuitable cleaning products may cause damage.

BT Furnishing UK cannot be held responsible for damage caused by inappropriate cleaning, maintenance, or use.

10. Product Images and Colours

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product photographs and colour descriptions are accurate.

However, colours may appear slightly different depending on lighting, photography, fabric batches, and the customer’s screen or device.

Handmade and natural materials may also have variations in appearance and texture.

11. Customer-Requested Changes

Any changes requested after an order has been confirmed must be agreed with BT Furnishing UK.

Changes may result in additional costs or delays. We cannot guarantee that changes can be made once manufacturing has commenced.

12. Customer Information

Customers must provide accurate contact and delivery information when placing an order.

BT Furnishing UK cannot be responsible for delays or additional costs resulting from incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer.

13. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under UK law.

We will not be responsible for losses resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

14. Events Outside Our Control

We will not be liable for delays or failure to perform our obligations where this is caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including serious transport disruption, supplier delays, natural disasters, industrial action, government restrictions, or other unforeseen events.

15. Privacy

Any personal information provided when placing an order will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.

16. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws applicable in the United Kingdom, and any disputes will be dealt with by the appropriate courts having jurisdiction.
